Thrive 2.0 Onboarding Videos: Projects

Written by Vincent Turk

This article covers the Projects tour — the heart of your day-to-day work in Thrive 2.0. It walks through projects end to end: navigating a project, working a candidate, customizing project details, sharing with hiring managers, and running the offer process.

A quick tip: the Candidate Overview video builds on the People Profile video in the People article, so watch that one first if you haven't yet.

Tour Projects

Creating and Managing Projects, Candidate Views

The first in our projects series — an overview of how projects work in Thrive 2.0, from creating one to navigating your candidates.

In this video:

  • Creating a project — use the (+) icon anywhere in the app; required fields are job title and hiring company, with optional location, team lead, and additional team access

  • Getting back to a project — via global search, the Projects index in the left panel, or directly from your Hub

  • Project header — job title (links to full search details), time open, hiring company, assigned team members, plus toggles for list/card view, candidate search, filters, and sort

  • List view — candidates organized by stage, with later stages at the top and earliest stages below

  • Candidate cards — show current title, company, location, off-limits and hide-from-hiring-manager flags, tags, recent activity, contact methods, and to-dos

  • Quick actions — add outreach, log an event, write a note, or complete a scorecard directly from the card

  • Card view — scroll left to right through stages for a more consolidated view of your candidates

  • Bulk actions — hover and select multiple candidates to add to a project or list, apply tags, move stages, or change owner

Updating Candidate Notes and Sharing Access

A closer look at what changes when you open a candidate's profile from within a project.

In this video:

  • Project activity summary — see outreach, notes, events, and scorecards completed by your team for this candidate on this specific project

  • Candidate custom fields — project-specific fields that can be completed directly on the candidate profile

  • Project vs. global toggle — available on outreach, scorecards, events, and notes; filter between activity on this project only or across all projects the candidate has been part of

• Notes — auto-saved as a private draft; sharing options let you control visibility:

    • Private — only you can see it (default)

    • Internal team — visible to your full team, with viewer or editor access

    • Everyone — extends visibility to hiring managers and clients

Thrive Project Details and Strategy Walkthrough

A walkthrough of everything inside the project details panel, accessed by clicking the job title in the top left of any project.

In this video:

  • Overview — position description, timeline, and key project information

  • Project notes — same sharing controls as candidate notes (private, internal, or everyone)

  • Outreach, events & offer tracking — covered in a separate video

  • Activity timeline — full history of project activity

  • Analytics — pipeline view, rejections by reason, candidates added by week, and candidate pool

  • Documents & contracts — attach relevant files and contract details

  • Off-limits & tasks — track flagged candidates and your team's to-dos

  • Team management — view and manage internal and external users with project access

  • Strategy tab — build your search strategy by adding target companies, tags, benchmark candidates, and similar projects; also where you create or apply a scorecard template for candidate assessments

  • Source Candidates engine — uses your strategy to surface recommended candidates with a relevancy score; view their LinkedIn, check off-limits status, and add, save for later, or pass directly from this view; use "Past Projects" to pull candidates from previous searches

  • More actions — generate a custom project report (downloadable via Exports) or a pre-call agenda to prep for client check-ins, with the option to copy directly to email or a doc

Thrive Client and Hiring Manager Portal Overview:

A look at the portal your clients and hiring managers see when invited to a project.

In this video:

  • Accessing the portal — use the More Actions button in any project and select "View as Hiring Manager"

  • Candidate list — shows only candidates marked as visible to external users, with assessments, notes, interviews, and prioritization controls

  • Right panel — project summary plus upcoming and completed interviews

  • Filters — clients can filter candidates by primary company, location, rejection reason, and more

  • Candidate detail view — experience, education, interviews, shared notes, references, and completed scorecards; clients can also add their own notes for your team to see

  • Actions — prioritize, deprioritize, or add a note directly from the candidate view

  • Multi-project access — clients invited to multiple projects can navigate to their own hub view to switch between them

Offer Process and Offer Stage Workflow

How to manage offers from presentation to close inside a project.

In this video:

  • Creating an offer — drag a candidate to the Offer stage and an offer sheet auto-populates; set the offer date, start date, attach documents, and add compensation details (cash, equity, total comp)

  • Skipping comp details — compensation can be toggled off and filled in later

  • Pending state — after clicking Create, the offer sits in pending until a decision is made

  • Declined offer — drag to the Rejected stage; Thrive will ask whether the candidate declined or the team passed, plus a rejection reason

  • Accepted offer — drag to the Hired stage and confirm the offer; comp details and start date can be updated at any time after
